The manufacture of this valuable material, created by the interaction of amber and other substances, first began around 1700. Today, Sikma Kehribar (Pressed Amber) is just as valuable as real amber. It is preferred to real amber for cost reasons. It is the most requested type of tesbih / prayer beads.
